I thought I'd remind you all of another record broken last night - 11 consecutive away games without defeat - Well done Gills

Our best ever season away from Priestfield. Superb achievement.

Anybody know what the best for fewest goals conceded away from home is? Surely this seasons got to be up there for that too.

Since our only league defeat away this season - at Torquay - they have only won 2 home games, the last on 1st December, and have gone from strong promotion contenders to being in real danger of relegation from the Football League. ( and we're complaining about our home form ! )

Geminiswiftgfc in answer to your query
In 1995/96 we conceded 14 goals away from home. If I remember rightly, Big fat Jim Stannard broke a clean sheet record ( 29 games )
In 1963/64 ( our only title winning season ) we conceded 10 at home and 20 away - so we've done better, so far, than that year and well on the way to achieve the fewest away goals conceded for a season ( hopefully our 2nd title will accompany )
