These are the sort of players we need to be looking at just before they turn into `super stars` & not give us a 2nd look. I´m looking forward to seeing how LCFC build the squad over the next 2 years or so. The plan was to get out the championship, that´s been done. Then to stay up the 1st season, that been done. Now the plan is to build a strong prem squad & stay up without talk of us, maybe, going down, that´s being done. Then I really think the owners want european football at the KPS & then who knows after that ? So we still have a long, long journey ahead of us. Things are looking good for Leicester City. "BRING IT ON"
Whilst I realise that some may begrudge Ranieri any credit for anything ... the second quote would suggest he played more than a bit part role ... and just because someone has the title 'manager' doesn't necessarily mean they played the key role in recruitment either ... Ranieri has a documented history of both signing excellent young talent but also bringing promising youngsters through ... Lampard from West Ham at the same time as he brought John Terry through from the youth team ... "I coached him when he was very young," said the experienced Italian boss. "I got him from Lyon, only 5m (euros). I think that was a good thing for Monaco!"
... think this firmly puts that to bed ... recommended by Sporting Director ... watched and signed by Ranieri http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...remier-League-anthony-martial-claudio-ranieri
Fosse are you suggesting that Proud is actually not correct!!!!!!!????? Shock horror....surely not! haha
In fairness to Proud, he has been pretty balanced overall in terms of supporting the team and acknowledging the excellent performances so far this season - I can't recall a single instance where he has been disengenous enough to suggest that Ranieri being in charge has been merely incidental to those performances etc ... and that despite the obvious high esteem he held Nigel Perason in ... so fair play.
