Bradshaw should be let nowhere near the 1st team squad after his injury time miss and it sounds as though Taylor, despite scoring, gifted them the equaliser.
and el tel scores twice for rochdale and sent off in injury time. his loan period extended to 5.1.13. at least town aint paying for him to sit on his bottom. most of the results went with us and gd of -6 may stand pompey and us in good stead. i understand young tom had 18 minutes and missed from 4 yards. ah well back to the reserves. one day our strikers may score again.
well AJ if GT hadn't have got all these useless loanees in Bradshaw would have had more match play time in and wouldn't be so bloody bench rusty, so this is down to GT, you cant expect players to sit on their ar*es most of the season having been stuck there by inferior players then come on and preform!!....Sorry GT has lost all direction.......
Its a case of which came first-the chicken or the egg. It has been patently obvious over the last 2 years that Bradshaw will not cut it, therefore the need for loanees. If anything GT has been guilty of placing too much faith in Bradshaw. It says it all really that no one wants him on loan despite his name being circulated.
bradshaw has scored twice in 2 games for the reserves, and deserved a cameo outing, instead of coming on in the 91st minute. i think it will be wrong to scapegoat young tom for missing a sitter. he deserves his place on the bench, to come on in place of the regular strikers who have more experience of missing sitters. we need 3 points at home to carlisle and yes in form bradshaw is the man to bring on if our lads up front again fail to find the net. lads it is like a fishing nets hung out to dry between 2 posts, only you can miss it. floreat salopia
All strikers miss sitters some time in their career, but if your young, feel undervalued by your manager, bench rusty, and inexperienced, you've got more chances of it happening to you.....
Bradshaw is not undervalued by GT!!!!!. And AJ he came on in the 75th minute. On another tack Rodgers, as I suspected, is not going to be our saviour by missing a couple yesterday. Come January GT should have the courage and say to him-thanks but no thanks. Ryan Lowe would have been a better bet and I know for a fact that if he had been asked a few weeks ago, he would have leapt at the chance.
Kasule, Interesting comment about Ryan Lowe - is it the wages that was the stumbling block? As for Bradshaw it is a bit unfair on him to pillory him for missing one chance right at the death. Again it looks like we scored a couple of good goals but gave sloppy ones away. Until we improve our defence we are destined for a long hard battle against relegation but at least our attack has looked a little livelier recently.
So far as I am aware Lowe has never been asked by the club but the question was put to him in conversation after MK Dons refused him a loan to Tranmere. Tranmere would have been ideal as he lives not far away but he would have gladly returned to Shrewsbury as an alternative. His goalscoring record in recent years is much superior to Rodgers.
