NEIL WARNOCK'S OWEN HARGREAVES CHANCE DAILY STAR SUNDAY ABOVE: Neil Warnock is considering giving Owen Hargreaves a chance Ó Neil Warnock is considering giving Owen Hargreaves a chance to save his career Ô 26th June 2011 By Carl Eldridge Your Shout ( 0 ) NEIL WARNOCK is considering giving Owen Hargreaves a chance to save his career at QPR. Owen Hargreaves was released by Manchester United at the end of last season and is now a free agent. Hargreaves, 30, has been sidelined for two years with injuries, most of which stem from having tendonitis in both knees. But Warnock could do with the former Bayern Munich star’s Premier League experience as the Hoops look to improve their squad in order to stay in the top flight for more than one season. Ex-Sheffield United and Crystal Palace boss Warno could make a move – if the midfielder will entertain a pay-as-you-play deal. But he will have to hurry, MLS sides Toronto and Vancouver also want to offer Hargreaves a deal.
Got to be worth a stab on pay-as-you-play surely? Although having said that, Hargreaves could only be used as back-up for the Faulin or Derry roles and/or as company for Bullard in the sick bay!!
Has to be play as you play. Oh and fergie does make mistakes in letting them go sometimes. Forlan, pique and Rossi spring to mind.
probably played more for England than Man Utd waste of time, maybe £100 a game would be worth a punt.
If he is fit I would put him on the team sheet before Faulin or Derry!! Absolute class act. I don't expect that he IS fit, but if Warno thinks he is then I'd definitely give him a go on pay as you play.
Owen Hargreaves is a wonderful footballer when fit which unfortunately is not to often, might be worth a pay as you play deal.
I'm afraid that Hargreaves would likely end up earning precious little on a pay as you play deal. We would probably end up billing him for physio time.
