.........Of any remaining morality in football.

QPR owner has bwwn considering the issue for weeks, fires Warnock and 36 hours (approx) later Hughes is appointed manager !!!

Just think, poor old Hughes, standing by the telephone just waiting for the call!!

Thank goodness for Peter Coates, the last of a dying breed.

    R E S P E C T is due in trumps

Yes Nick, you are right. Despite my dislike of our manager's footballing philosophy, I am glad that he & PC have such a strong relationship.Instability and uncertainty do such damage to clubs, and whatever my misgivings, the team of TP & PC certainly seems to work.

Hughes will leave within a year IMO. 4 months if he takes them down.

    Nick
Spot on about Mr Coates and Tony Pulis.
I liked Warnock.. I really hope they go down now. Re the Question how much will M Hughes have to spend? I've heard THIRTY MILLION on S S News.

Their Chairman clearly does not care about the club nor their fans.. shown ZERO respect for Neil Warnock in my oppinion.
Apart from Citeh where, he had money to spend. WHAT exactly has he achieved.. not much in my book.

(Edit) I meant Mark Hughes of course, previous clubs.

I'm biased because I really liked Warnock and given what he achieved at the club within 22 months, I personally think it was a very harsh decession! I agree with you Nick that Mr. Coates has been a fantastic chairman and I am very glad that we are not in the same position as some clubs in changing managers every 5 minutes.

I do understand QPR's issue in that the recent run or form was poor and they wanted to maximise the transfer window with the manager (new or old), but I felt that Warnock would have kept them up and not run away from the challenge or walk out on them for a better offer (AKA Hughes)!

You know what they say when running a company (or life in general): There are 3 things that you can do in a situation, Firstly make the right decession, Secondly make the wrong decession and thirdly make no decession at all! Sometimes procastinating can be worse - so time will tell whether or not the QPR decessionwas correct or not!
