And it could get worse according to sky sports news this morning due to Defoe needing a late fitness test ahead of tonights match. Danny Welbeck, Andy Carroll and Daniel Sturridge all pulled out of the squad due to injury and Hodgson decided against bringing in other strikers to see what they can do in these two friendlies. Hodgson ignores what Lambert has achieved - being the top scoring English striker in the Prem, and failed to even given Lambert a chance when 3 strikers pulls out due to injury! Then he moans about the lack of strikers! To me thats a big insult to Lambert who must be thinking what else does he have to do.
Unfortunately Captain. He will need to get a bit younger!! But he could/should have been given a shot at it as he plays pretty much the same role as Milner.
