Lesley Gore was just 16 years old when she had the massive hit It's My Party to be followed by Judy's Turn To Cry. RIP to another of those stars of the day who made pop fun if a little cheesy but in the Mecca/Locano ballroom the records sounded great and were great to dance to.

 

And here's another one (I won't start a fresh thread) - Pamela Cundell, b.15/1/20; d. 14/2/15.

She played the 'amorous' Mrs. Fox, who married Corporal Jones in the last episode of 'Dad's Army'

(There are now only two surviving regular cast members left).

 

Let's not forget the bloke who did the voice for Roger Ramjet.

 

Always think of the fair when I hear It's My Party. Was always on.
