I decided to give it a good nights sleep before commenting on the football game I was unfortunately at yesterday. I have read all the comments on here this morning over breakfast and without a shadow of a doubt, the overwhelming feeling is one of disappointment and despair.

I don't intend to elaborate on comments already made, as to be honest I can't be arsed anymore but I will simply say this.

Anyone that is even slightly still in the BiB camp is either fiercely loyal to him or one phone call from the funny farm. Anyone who still doesn't think we are well and truly in the relegation shake up hasn't watched us this season.

As I sadly predicted, Bruce couldn't wait to go back to 1 up front as soon as he thought we weren't looking, found a place for catts and played a player not even championship standard on the right wing again.

In a game we simply had to win, we started it with no chance of actually doing so. Substitutions, tactics, team selections and positional play were amateurish.

Of course Bruce thought it was all brilliant and we were just unlucky. If I 'hear on another day we might have done better' another sodding time I swear I'm going to explode. The maybe manager delivers maybe performances and maybe results. Where was vaughan? Our best midfield player and why the **** did we waste £5m for Gardener? Is he ever going to play? Is he ever going to get a chance? If I were him I'd be away in January if I couldn't get into this shower of ****e team.

The crowd, boosted by the £10 kids tickets, was again magnificant. They stuck with the team right up until the last 10 minutes when their patience ran out. There were very vocal Bruce out chants up in the concourse and all around the stadium. Some fans were arguing and even fighting amongst themselves over it and generally the atmosphere was flatter than a witches tit. There's just nowt for us to get excited by really. Watching yet another relegation campaign rarely is. Any kids at yesterdays game certainly won't be going back in a hurry (one kid up where we are actually fell asleep at one point) and I can't see a big crowd next week without the cheap tickets. Can you?

Bruce will relegated this club if he is allowed to stay as manager, or at the very best, will merely just avoid it. Hardly the post of thing that motivates you to attend games in the heart of winter is it? One thing is for certain, those at the match have made their minds up now and Bruce is only manager due to shorts support, not the fans.

Iam thoroughly depressed this morning. Wigan next week? I have no confidence we will take 3 points there at all. Wigan have been playing ****e but have also been scoring goals. We haven't been doing either.

This is the first time I've felt totally miserable about the team this year. I cannot find a saving grace to say about the game I watched yesterday.

All fair points Cest, like you I've got a feeling it'll be yet another disappointing display from 2 teams ****e scared of losing as yesterdays game was (second half anyway).
This one has got 0-0 written all over it which again is not what we need now, the desperation is setting in and Wigan although poor up here generally will be more up for this than we are unless Bruce manages to fire the lads up, not holding my breath for that mind.

So its your turn this week. After every game there is always someone with a similar comment. Surely there can't be many BIBs left.

Can't disagree with any of the OP or the reply's.
Anything but a win next week could and probably should be the end for Bruce.
The sad thing is I managed to see most of the game on dodgy tv. In the past a result like that would have me fuming. Yesterday I felt nowt.

Hi Cyprus mate. I wish my view was less clear yesterday. Despite what many think on this board, I don't take any pleasure in giving Bruce all this stick. Nothing would have given me pleasure than to report a great game and result yesterday. We should be beating Fulham at home but we never looked likely to all day. In fact, they had the better chances in all honestly at the end. Yes we hit the woodwork twice but so what? If my aunty had balls she would be my uncle. What if's won't keep up up this year.

I can see wigan scoring next week and with 1 up front again, I can see us equalizing but not winning.

The crowd turned yesterday for the first time but had fans at each others throats. That is Bruces gift to us all this festive period.

If if didn't hear the Bruce out chants if must be deaf. A similar performance and result next week and you'll be able to hear them down in cornwall.

I'm starting to feel a bit cheated by Bruce.
I've stood full square behind the man this past year, I thought I saw something in him which would work. That faith is now hanging by a thread.
I'm no tactical genius and would never try to claim to be but ha'way. One up front at home...Against Fulham? Elmo? And bringing on poor Noble at the end was just astonishing, even to me.

The deafening silence from Short is a worry too. I'd love to know what that blokes up to.

Duno what's more depressing at the moment. The fact Bruce is a complete tactical numpty or the fact the club takes another 100 odd quid out of my bank at the end of this month forcing me to continue to watch dross being dished up.

I'm actually starting to dislike him as a person now as opposed to just thinking he's out of his depth. That's not good.

    Mate, goals are a bonus???

Football is the simplest game in the world marra.

There is only one objective as far as I know; put the ball in the net more times than the other side.

To deliberately go out for a draw is ****ing ****e, cheating & ripping the fans eyes out IMHO.

    I totally agree Billy,
I was at the game yesterday and after our 4 hour drive back home, I couldn't help but feel glad that we would be watching the dross we will probably serve up against Wigan next week.............. from the comfort and warmth of my armchair............ beer in hand.......... and not a queue in sight when I need a pish !!

Even my 14 yr old boy seemed very aggrieved at the lack of action !! We sat in the SE corner and he was impressed with the chanting from the opposite corner, but when we tried to join in with the singing to take the boredom away from the dull encounter on the pitch,............ were embarrased,....... and saddened ........ to be the only ones joining in amongst the crowd in our stand !! Me thinks the next game we will try to get as close to the chanters as poss.

We actually took with us a Fulham fan, who was suitable impressed at the noise of those chanters, whilst also being very unimpressed at the puny size of the away fans !! Also commenting on the fact that the segregation area behind the goal was nothing but a short bus journey apart !!! Overkill??? Well done the anonymous voices, you were more entertaining than the lads on the pitch at times, keep up the good work. :emoticon-0148-yes:

And as for Brucie,........ shame on you......... give us a goal or two you meannie !!

Well if you enjoyed that utter ****e Bruce served up yesterday, you'll accept anything. We are going into home games now against poor teams, with no chance whatsoever of winning them. The manager is setting up up for draws which we sometimes get and sometimes we don't but what we are not doing is winning home games for a full year almost.

Even under McCarthy and the 15 point season we gave it our best shot. We played 2 forwards almost every game. This season we are going out with a whimper and if yet still don't think we are in a massive relegation scrap now then yes, yet are one step from the funny farm.

Reality pills for agent fat mike. Totally free to help him back to his senses.

I think we have a good chance of beating Wigan and yes, I'm being serious! High fives all round for Steve Bruce if we manage to beat Wigan! I mean... We have to win some games this season!
