Looks like his raising eyebrows back in his homeland again, and not negative ones either for once.

Still can't believe Al thought he was an unknown entity! <laugh>

I love Shearer but he is never going to live that down, absolute clueless idiot to suggest Ben Arfa was some kind of unknown. He was lauded above all others as being as talented as Zidane and Henry (obviously in different ways) and was constantly battling it out at the top of the lists of world youth prospects. He never fulfilled his potential in France because of his attitude problems and the reputation stayed with him when he left the country for England. Regarded by the French fans as a waste of ability he was also cast out of the national reckoning.

Seems he is really clawing his way back with Laurent Blanc and the French fans now and can finally fulfil that massive potential for his country. I think if he goes and gets games he's going to set that tournament alight, and the Negative Nancy in me is quite worried we simply won't be able to hold onto him. Hope he stays for another couple of seasons, the way he's going he will be a legend.

Alan Shearer was a great footballer, however he is the worst manager and TV pundit I have ever seen in my life. In actual fact most pundits on the TV know **** all.
