Another great Metro stat about Liverpool

After yesterday's stat about Lovren, we have another one:

Balotelli, Borini and Lambert have gone 1,000 minutes without scoring.

I'm not laughing at Rickie BTW, he's had so little time on the pitch that he's hardly worth including.

I won't have SRL criticised for failure to score...he can't even be match fit. Balotelli? Open season on him...what a dreadful purchase...makes Osvaldo look good.

 

I don't like what has happened to Rickie, up at Liverpool, either. The fact is though, he wanted to go. Along with several other players he thought he could sense ambition unravelling at SFC, when it was nothing of the kind. So Liverpool came calling and saved us from doing to Rickie what they have done. I'm bound to say we would have done it far better. Liverpool have paid £4M [article says 5..?] and thoroughly screwed up the tail end of a player's career. He should have had another year or two of occasional great highlights and magic. Instead he's doing an awful lot of football watching.

It is ridiculous to include SRL in that article, but it does add fuel to the fire.

 

SRL would have been a great player to have on the bench, but he chose his dream over ours. Couldn't care less.

 

I still cant believe they got him. Other than it being a dream move it just made no sense on Liverpool's end. And it seems clear they dont really have any intention of playing him even semi regularly.

It seems only people associated with Saints know how to play him. Rodgers and Hodgson just see him as a straight up target man when that is clearly not the case.
