I think there should be a large demo against the club at the last home game this season, the players being the main point of anger against. Not one of them is good enough and they have shown just how fecking pish poor they really are. Disgrace to the club. **** them all, I wish them nothing but misery.
You're a ****ing tit then, aren't you. We have an average Championship squad and we've got an average Championship finish. Hardly a surprise. The players haven't looked like they're not bothered this season, so lay off them. No need for such a stupid, misdirected thread. Bates, Harvey, Lorimer and Allen are the men the anger should be directed at.
We now have proof that the reason we're doing so poorly is that we refused to compete in the transfer market. It has nothing to do with primary transfer targets going to the Premier League, because two of our primary transfer targets went to the two teams in the auto spots. Grayson has come out and said he got **** all backing, bates and harveys days are numbered. About ****ing time too.
Bolloxs. The players are responsible for the shambles that is Leeds United (on the pitch) and that prick Grayson can be utterly embarrased by his pathetic attempt to be a Championship manager. The players deserve no summer break and I would not be upset to see any of them being sold or contract terminated. The players are to blame, it is as simple as that. I have nothing but contempt for them and wish them nothing more than misery, just as they have made me misreable by their incapable performances all season.
Can't blame the players or Grayson. Grayson has come out and said he got no backing and that several of his transfer targets weren't obtained because of this lack of backing. Jack Cork and Kaspars Gorkks were primary targets for Leeds United, ended up at Southampton and Reading respectively. Coincidentally, both teams are in the auto spots. It's all down to the board refusing to spend money.
Calm down FFS, the writing's been on the wall for a long time. I don't see how Grayson failed as a Championship manager when he had a newly promoted team at 3 points off the play-offs, at the end of last season and when he was sacked, on no investment. We need to ship the dead wood and build a squad around Snoddy, McCormack, Clayton etc.
Yeah... like I said. Average players, average finish. Not a surprise. They're only responsible for playing at their level, and there have been barely any issues with commitment. That's no crime. Utterly embarrassed about getting us to three points off the playoffs with easy games ahead? I think you mean 'utterly proud'. He assembled and consolidated the position of an underdog Blackpool team which later got promoted to the Premiership and the core of which is still doing well now. He came within touching distance of the playoffs last season with lower mid-table backing. You're clueless if you don't think he's been a good manager at every level he's ever tried his hand at. See the other thread for a list of players we ought to be keeping and why your suggestion of sacking the lot is so laughably hysterical. For me, footballers shouldn't need more holiday time than normal workers with the wages they're on, but they've in no way disgraced themselves this season. Please do tell me what level you think this squad's capable of competing at. Midtable? Playoffs? Autos? Obviously it's one of the latter two based on your delusional attempt at righteous anger. There's a word for people like you: cranks. Get real.
what, of blaming the players and the manager? Yep seems that's the way it's going. Couldn't possibly be the chairmans fault!
Hey Marko, there's gonna be a hangin'. Big Jon & his mates are gonna git you. http://lufctrust.squarespace.com/forum/post/1780306?currentPage=2
I've noticed all of the cycles currently going on that keeps bates in control of the club in this perpetual state of stagnation.
We lost 1-0 away from home, we have nothing to play for, half the players know they are being shown the door, the team that beat us are fighting for a play off and might well be in the premiership next season. We are basically the same team we were 3 months back, very up and down. Bates ensured a new manager came in when the transfer window had shut... All = predictable. Half the squad was assembled out of loans and free signings, the actual total cost is peanuts, I would guess that the current total value far exceeds the cost of putting it together. Teams would queue up for Snodgrass and White, Clayton, Becchio and McCormack wouldn't be short of offers. I agree a big clear out which is what has been promised but it doesn't matter what manager you are, you can't but a new team of 11 players together and expect them to gel in time for a new season.
