Aldershot have gone into Administration today double kick in the danglies for their fans after relegation. Here´s hoping it turns out better for them than last time they had financial problems. The FA really needs to look at wealth distribution in the game Aldershot can hardly be accused of crazy spending and chasing Premier League status. Good luck to the Shots sorting this out.
Does this mean that they start next season without 10 points then? If so then bad timing to declare. I just feel sorry for any side that goes through this.
If they has stayed up then the deduction would have been for next season but not sure if non-league uses the 10/9 pt deduction rule think it may only apply to FL clubs.
Something in the back of my mind thought about Luton but they may have had so many points deducted to make sure they got in the Conference rather than whilst in it.
Good call Joe forgot about Truro so looks like they will be starting with handicap on top of all their other problems. Nothing on the news reports about a deduction but it is a bit of a funny situation with them changing leagues maybe they are still classed as FL for the moment.
Truro had 10pts deducted this past season......are you saying they will have another 10pts next season as well ?
No Plym was meaning Aldershot will, using Truro as the example. On a side note is the ginger ninja still involved with Truro or did he walk?
That Ginger idiot went? No idea what he is doing now.. or can we guess he is trying or stitching some one else up.
He was made bankrupt.....he didn't walk he ran........probably hiding with those Irish bankers he was pally with in Gibraltar.
The Conference seem to be stricter than the Football League when it comes to insolvency. Examples: Darlington, Chester City, Halifax Town. I'd be very surprised if the shots are allowed to start on zero in the Conference Premier. Good luck to them though - their older fans have already been through it all before!
Not quite administration but further evidence of the dire state of non Premier League football finances: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22454081
