I was having a sort of doze earlier today, when a bit of a flash of inspiration hit me. I agree that when we lose possession we'll revert to 2 banks of 4, but how about this for when we're in possession? Green Ferdinand. Hill Bosingwa Derry/Fraulin Traore/Fabio Diakate Park Hoilett. Cisse. Taarabt With the front 3 interchanging with one player up front and te other 2 supporting, swapping positions as they go. To me it makes a bit of sense, as it allows the fullbacks to maraud forwards as they like to, keeps the opposition on their toes, and we've now got a team of passers, so the man furthest forward won't have to be a target man any more - they'll all create space for each other.
Dammit! Thought this was a thread on cloud formations - I like Alto Stratus. I like it Houston - reminds me a bit of the Brazil line up around 1998 - a 2222 + Cafu and Roberto Carlos playing more like wingers. Bit gung ho for Sparky but I'd love to see us try to overrun the opposition. Ollie would definitely be interested though....
