http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-host-2014-British-Cycling-National-Circuit/story-21164919-detail/story.html Another large event coming to our fair city. I for one can't wait. I expect big crowds for this. Hope we get some big names and will probably be on the telly, ITV4 seem to be the place for cycling events like this. If this coming here is down to the council then fair play to them and a big well done.
Crit racing is fun and will be a good watch. Having just been involved in the milk race at nottingham I can say this with experience! And if it's wet it will be carnage!
Very interesting , this has been held in Beverley recently which is a great place for it with a cobbled section and it always drew big crowds I hope they repair the roads in Hull before the event though , cobbles might add to the excitement but pot holes are just dangerous

The milk race stuck carpet like mats over the holes and grills in the city. Riders will be more bothered about rain and other riders I suspect. I rode the course early last week when it was wet and experienced riders were falling off in the straights! It's the tight corners and rough surfaces that make this sort of race a buzz to watch. As for road bikes on cobbles, the pros are sponsored. What's a bust wheel to them?! Lucky gits. They will no doubt have the bikes set up for the conditions and most teams use different tyres and parts to reduce the road buzz.
