Following on from the other and seeing something else on an other board..............

Best Norwich City goal scored in a game you attended (not most important).
Best opponents goal you can remember in a game you have attended.

For me the best City goal I have witnessed "in the flesh" was probably Ryan Jarvis against Liverpool when we lost 2-1 in 2008.Although Youseff Safri is a close contender for his thunderbolt against Newcastle Utd.

Sadly this is the best quality clip I can find!

I am struggling with the best goal against us, hopefully some of your memories might help to jog mine a bit

Watching that video reminds me of when we all thought Ryan Jarvis was going to be the tits.

I haven't been to many games in recent years, so I can't remember tbh!

    My top three:

    1. THAT Fashanu goal v Liverpool

    2. Graham Paddon v Man City. I can't remember the exact year, suffice to say it was mid 70's and was a direct free kick from the edge of the centre circle that had Big Joe Corrigan flapping at fresh air, unbelievable !!

    3. I'll go for Safri's thunderbolt but I'm sure if I give it a bit more thought I could probably think of an alternative <ok>

I know some of you will have been lucky enough to have been at CR to see THAT goal, sadly I only saw it on BBC MOTD highlights

Well, quite! Perhaps with a little more fortune he could have been the mutts nutts, similar could be said for Lee Power, but his undoing was his own fault.

not a norwich goal, but probably the best i've seen in the flesh. i also saw roberto carlos 'bendy' free kick at le tournoi but i always felt that goal was a tad overrated myself...

best goal for norwich, i always loved mark robins cheeky little chip against chelsea in 92-93, whilst best goal against us has to be zola's backheel volley in the cup.

Nice poachers goal! Wish I'd been around to watch Bowen to be honest... My earliest memories were watching Marshall, Bellamy, Sutton, Roberts, Fleming, etc playing!

I was at that game, living in Lincoln at the time, that Crookey free-kick was a bit special! Also, I'd forgotten how weird Gunny looked with hair!

I was in the South stand for that Fash goal. perfect place to follow the ball as it went in. We were on our feet as soon as he hit it. You just knew it was going in

    Great call!

I was trying to remember a game where I actually applauded an opponents goal - and that was it, thanks <ok>

I loved Bowen and Culverhouse as full backs.

I remember a drubbing we received by Florist ( 2 - 6 <doh>) and the Forest fans kept singing 'you'll never beat Des Walker'

Shortly afterwards, Franz Carr, the "mercurial" Forest winger, skinned Bowen and left him in a muddy heap by the touchline - cue the norwich fans chant "you'll never beat Mark Bowen" <ok>

Happy days, despite the scoreline. (P.S. that season we also lost 5 - 1 at the reverse fixture at the City Ground and Forest dumped us out of the F A Cup 1 - 0 as well!)

    Best goal:
John Sissons v Stoke City 23 March 1974. A brilliant free kick involving 4 or so passes around the edge of the Stoke area. Beat them 4-0 but got relegated.
Bet opponents goal: Chris Chilton. I beleive it was Coventry but could have been Hull. A brilliant header from the edge of the box.
    These are games I attended.

Just before my time redruth. Most games until about 1979 are a bit of a blur to be honest and it was early 80's before I could get to attend games on a regular basis.

    Roger Gibbins v Birmingham City c.1977/ 78.
Loads of passes in the build up, and a 20 yard volley from Gibbins.
