Our potential relegation rival Sunderland, who deserved a point against Man City today, ended up with 3 pts thanks to yet another late winner. We really need some lady luck ourselves in the New Year and must get 3 pts against Norwich tomorrow to gain some breathing room from the bottom three.
Let's worry about our own performance for now. Far too early to be concerned about what other teams do. We only need 3 worse teams than us and, whilst its not yet clear if there are, I don't think Sunderland is one anyway.
Sunderland have players in there team who can finish and they have a spirit that we seem to lack. Not sure if spirit is the right word but you know what I mean.
That sums it up pretty well Col. Id love to know wether the new signings have escape clauses in there contracts. We,re going to need everybody pulling together to get us out of the s***e
Snderland were always going to be on the "up" with a new manger coming in. After all, the players signed by Bruce could find themselves with a for sale sign on their shirts. QPR on the other hand are a work in progress after Flav and Bernie decided to keep their wallets closed. Just imagine, how much worse it could have been IF they were still around. NW knows what we need as does TF. We are not down and out, not today or not come May. I have faith in the leadership of this club, from boardroom down, however, some players will have to be removed as we do lack a little quality. If only players like Derry and Hill were 5 years younger, and AT realises he has a god given talent..... We won't go down....we just need a little strengthening...which might cost a few bob but we will survive. Does any QPR fans think we would do things easy.
Sorry Ninj.but I have seen us play this type of football before with the pundits all saying "we played really well but" and we got relegated.Dont see NW changing things.
Right now Sunderland seem to be determining their own potential relegation destiny with 10 pts from their last 5 games versus just 1 pt for us.
BAD weekend indeed for us. BUT it is not time for doom and gloom just yet. Let's wait til the end of Jan and reassess after the Fulham game in Feb. Keep the faith! Remember we pretty much expected to be in the bottom three at Christmas. We know what the problems are but, much more critically, so does Tony and team. They are going to fix this and quickly.
