Blackburn and QPR lead chase for Arsenal youngster

Henri Lansbury looks to be on his way out of Arsenal - with Blackburn and QPR leading the chase for his signature.

The 20-year-old academy product has failed to make an impact at the Emirates, making just seven appearances for the club, including the 8-2 drubbing at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is desperate to bolster his squad before Wednesday night's transfer deadline and sees Lansbury as a good addition in the middle of the park.

But Rovers could face competition from QPR as they continue to rebuild their squad following the recent takeover by Malaysian tycoon Tony Fernandes.

A move across London to Loftus Road could appeal to the England Under-21 ace who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Norwich last season which saw them promoted to the Premier League.

Hoops boss Neil Warnock is also hoping to tie up deals with Lansbury’s Gunners team-mate Armand Traore and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-phillips.

Looked quality for Norwich last year.

Very good passer. He'd play a part but his best years are maybe a season or so off.

I would'nt say that, he struggled to get in our 1st eleven at the back end of last season, though he certainly is a prospect and would be a qaulity signing, whoever he goes too. Alot of us were hoping we would get him back but that looks like is a no goer for us now :(

I rate him, looked decent this summer when he came on for the U21's. Do we really need yet another midfielder though, how many do we have now?
