It amazes me to see the lack of guile in some of our play. Have we ever arranged a choreographed free kick? Never. Just hope Seb or Craig can hit the target. See 'clever free kicks' on You Tube.

Another thing that really p***es me off is that we have to have everybody back in our penalty box to defend corners. If we left three speedy men on the halfway line they would have to have at least three, if not four men to mark them. Make it easier for our defenders to defend the corner, or even some free kicks. Worth a try in a reserve game to see the effects????

Agreed about both points - although leaving 3 on the halfway line (Who would you say? Sessegnon, McClean and AN Other) - McClean is very good in the air and wins almost everything put his way so I think we need him in the box - We also defend corners zonally now so taking men out of the box could cause problems with that - Martin certainly knows a lot more than I do regardless of my opinion!!

Another problem with crowded penalty boxes is the chances of a deflected shot going in... more bodies means more chances of daft deflections and it has happened on numerous occasions this season in the EPL. Also, a less congested area makes it easier for our keeper to have a chance of a save.
