The Brexit party rallies behind Rory Stewart.

Nigel Farage invited Stewart onto his LBC show yesterday and hailed him for having ‘set alight’ the Tory leadership process, and praised his ‘terrific campaign’.

EU communications director Andy Wigmore recently described him as ‘clearly intelligent’ and said he would ‘love to see him up against Boris Johnson in the final two’.

Isabel Oakeshott, who is a supporter of the Brexit party, is another of Stewart’s unlikely devotees, retweeting his #RoryWalks and today calling him ‘principled, funny, clever, different’.

These unlikely confessions couldn’t possibly have anything to do with polling published last week by ComRes, which showed a landslide for the Brexit party if Rory Stewart led the Tories into a general election. The same polling showed that the Brexit party would be wiped out if Boris, who has pledged to ‘put Farage back in his box’, was prime minister.

So a vote for Roary, is a vote for BrexitUK. If MP's don't want BrexitUK, vote Boris. What a mess the remainers have made for themselves. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The sensible party takes the reverse approach, it has a leader but no members and no policies apart from remarking on how lovely some ladies are.

Conservatives and Lib Dems (correction: Vince Cable is still leader until the two who have been forced into standing for leader get the short straw) don't have a leader
Don't worry, Labour has a leader who will ensure the country will never vote for him and "The Independent Group for Change" have an interim leader
The Brexit Party have a leader
The Greens change their leader every day
The "local" parties seem to be better at hanging on to their leaders despite the Welsh lot changing their leader recently and the ex-leader of the SNP being investigated for sexual offences

You'd like me if I was one, but it's nice to see you jumping on the bandwagon. Better than trying to think.

"Should punishment or preventing reoffending be our number 1 priority in crime prevention?" Both - longer sentences achieves both
what doesn't do any good is "youth centres" - but that's a crazed leftie idea anyway

I'd go for preventing re-offending in most cases. But that has to go hand in glove with rewards for good behaviour for decent members of society, or it risks being a career choice to leap frog the system.
