Ok, there isn't a rumour... But I'm starting one! We have to shift a few, but Anichebe on low wages would be a decent championship gamble for me. He used to be pacey, and lack end product, but that seems to do well in the lower leagues? I see it being: Armstrong, Mitrovic (as nobody wants him), Toney + 1 more, and that 1 more needs to be pacey for me. Thoughts?
What do you mean nobody wants Mitrovic. The local butchers is looking for someone to break legs of meat, he seems to be quite good at that.....
Just reading up on him, and I can see how he'd fit in just fine with our current strikers. He's quite adept at not scoring goals, so wouldn't be overly embarrassed by the others around him.
I'd be looking at the likes of Nicky Ajose, Moussa Dembele, Fernando Forestieri, Sam Winnall, Will Grigg - proven scorers at a low level. They might not be of much use once we step up but along with Armstrong, Mitro and Perez should provide enough to get us out. I'd rather cut off my bell end with a rusty penknife than sign Anichebe.
YES! But only to re-open the eternal debate about how you pronounce his name - is it "a-neech-a-be" or "anna-chay-be". Otherwise, we've got more than enough tactless blundering oxes already.

I'd like to hope not, I think he can still mathematically finish 4th so he hasn't technically failed his season objective, although that should be confirmed after the game tonight. It'd be nice for him to manage the FA Cup final and then get told to leave after that. That's my optimistic presumption. The reality is Ed Woodward is a ****ing slug and he'll probably do all he can to keep him at the club then end up sacking him mid-season when there's nobody good to replace him available.
