I wasnt aware that Rangel blogs for Spanish website.. http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...gel+rangel&hl=en&biw=1280&bih=763&prmd=imvnso He posts each week (unless there is no game) Most interesting for me on one of the blogs where he talks about his new contract talks. -THE BIG CONTRACT I explained my four seasons at Swansea. I can only add that this summer I finished my professional contract with the club. I was talking with different teams of the Premier and the Championship, including Wigan Athletic, Norwich City, Fulham and West Bromwich Albion. But finally I decided to renew the team that gave me the opportunity to be a professional footballer. Signed 3 year contract and I would say that the club at the end rewarded me for what I did to reject all those offers from teams in the Premier earlier. So very happy and proud to renew, as it was not a very difficult decision, having in mind that was the contract I've been waiting all my life and I both had to work, plus it was for number one on the right hand side, which was very important when playing games in the Premier League, and as important, I'm very identified with the city and the country as my partner Nikki and mother of my children is Welsh, so it was a happy ending for everyone at a very busy summer. The team, motivated by the victory in the last game against Stoke City, visited Norwich City at Carrow road, a team who, like us, were recently promoted. Everyone knew the importance of th game because these are the teams from whom we need to be taking maximum points. With that in mind, we went via private jet (a small plane with 35 places) with the management and directors of the team, to make the trip (pina-pineapple?!makes no sense!) and shorter. It looked like we were prepared for the fight, but it didn't go like that; in the first 10 minutes we were 2-0 down after a lack of concentration and organisation throughout the team. We got a goal back through Danny Graham, and had dangerous moments where we could have tied the game, but in the end Norwich made it 3-1 from a corner. A bad day where we turned a page and will learn lessons about committing basic errors. I came back to play 90 minutes. Days like this demonstrate how there are no easy games in the Premiership, and lapses in concentration are very expensive. Anyway, we're in the middle of the table and Saturday we have another game away at Wolves to demonstrate what we learned and get our first points away from home, against one of our direct rivals. Sorry for how simple this blog is, I had a few days of fever and cold because of the really low temperatures here! A hug, and speak soon, Angel
Send me the link of the website if you want and as he posts stuff I can translate it? Google translate is good but not always right... Good find though! I wonder what else he'll be blogging on...
2nd part translated. Always nice to hear his thoughts, he's a good boy is Angel. The part about the plane I don't get. In the article it says thye got the plane to make the trip "pina y mas cortada". Literally that's "pineapple and shorter", so maybe there's some slang or something I'm missing!
Post the link and we can get get our insider, Senor Scott, to act as a Spanish fan and build up the vertues of staying with the Swans!
PS .....thinking about that, better you send the link directly to Scott only, encase our lower league friends in the East (who no doubt have some Spanish Gypo's amongst them) get hold of it!
Rangel is a top bloke, was pleased when he signed again for us, and his statement in the summer told us volumes of his good character! Good read, and one for Scotty to get on to aye......................... please log in to view this image
Angel has updated his blog (and joined Twitter, for anyone who's interested - @arangelz). Phew, that was a mental workout!
Well done scott, an intresting read i must say , rangel think s the defensive organisation wasnt good and they dropped deep , maybe next time he should shout"lets stay organised and not drop deep guys!" always good to get a players perspective though, we speculate on this that and the other but nothing like heasring it from the Horses mouth.
Latest blog from our marauding write-back! (See what I did there? Ha!) Google translated "referee awarded the penalty" as "referee had no hesitation awarding the death penalty"! Amazing!
With this blog Angel's clearly showing his love for the Club and appreciation of what life has brought him. He is becoming my favourite player .... PERHAPS YOU SHOULD ASK FOR RIGHTS/COMMISION AS TRANSLATOR SCOTT (assuming you haven't mistranslated because the actual blog was slating us!)
I for one haven't been interested in the likes of facebook ,twitter etc but after reading the above I may change my mind.To read the thoughts of someone who plays for my club and appears to have a personally affinity with it rather than just seeing it as some where to ply his trade makes refreshing reading.Good on him , a legend perhaps in the making.
