Oxford United will sign Leyton Orient defender Andy Whing on a two-year-deal when his contract ends this summer

    Thoughts?

Seems an excellent signing. Batt has struggled too much this year. One good central man and the poor defence should be sorted. Interesting to see if the Mansfield keeper is going to agree terms.

Batt is rrrrrrrrrrubbish. He can't defend to save his life, I still can't believe he made it into the league 2 team of the season

I agree Dilbert, another centre half to go alongside Wrighty and we're already looking more solid

I think that was a shock to most OUFC fans. He was not a patch on last year's form.

Let's face it Batt is good at getting forward but his defending isn't the best and his distribution and in particular his crossing is woeful. It sounds as if Whing can at least defend which has to be an improvement

I'm sure Pitman came on for Bevan when we played Wycombe at home and looked pretty useful, he scored didn't he?

i remember seeing Andy Whing play for Coventry a few years back. He did look a little out of place in the Championship - a bit lightweight. However, he may well look good in League 2
