http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9076491.Weimann_and_Mackay_want_striker_s_return/? I think Aston Villa are likely to let him out on loan again as I don't see him featuring in their first team plans soon, and as both himself and Mackay want him to return to Watford, it looks promising. Personally, I would be very happy to see Weimann return. He had a good work rate and I think he could get a good few goals if given a long run in the team. What do you guys think?
I heard a while back that Villa would consider making it permanent in exchange for the Ashley Young sell-on. Have no idea whether it has any legs in it. Would have to depend on the valuation of him. I would happily have him back on loan. I think he could prove very decent at this level.
Yes, I'd have him back. But we need to sign a permanent striker as well. The only possible middle ground is if we sign him on loan for the entire season (rather than the two-stage deals that we normally do). Getting a striker in January is not a cheap process.
I would love to have him back at the club, he knows the workings of the club and would hopefully be able to pick up from where he left off. He has the attitude and the desire MM instills in his players and he can score goals too. He is the experience up front and as i say i would love to have him back
No way could we afford to lose out on the £1.5m, so there you go. Wiemann is ok, but I haven't seen any natural "devil" in him. Is he quick - NO, is he strong - NO, is he a volume goalscorer - NO, is he fit enough - def NO. I think I'm suggesting he needs a good pre-season to get him moving. I know he has suffered with injuries, but I don't see him making it in the Prem.
i think he has a good future ahead of him, i think we did not see the best of him as we asked him to play a different game to what i imagine he preferes or is better suited to. i echo others that given i longer run in the team and more stability i think he could well be a great bit of buisness to cover graham, cant see him getting as many goals but sure does cover every blade of grass and i do think he has an eye for goal away to cov he was very unlucky. hope he comes back
From the little I saw of him he looked quite good and he certainly impressed Tommy Mooney in match commentaries.
He's generally good all round....but he needs to work on his finishing. He's young though so.....he can improve.
