Did Kevin Nichol's refuse play for us in about 2007 or did he just want to return to Luton, so Dennis Wise refused to play him. Can anyone think of any others.
Nicholls joined Leeds in July 2006, he then told Wise he wanted to leave Leeds in March 2007. He returned to Luton via Preston where pleasingly his career and personal life suffered.
I can go back 60 years Bremner wanted out at one stage as did Charles Hasslebaink anotherand Mcqueen as well thats about it
Hi Leeds60 Thanks for your reply it's nice to meet a fellow Leeds Dinosaur I watched my first game in 1958 the season after Big John joined Juventus so I cant comment on weather he refused to play or not but I have never read anything that said he did. I remember Billy saying he was home sick for Scotland and wanting to go back home but again I don't remember him refusing to play. Hasslebaink just wanted to leave because he wanted bigger wages. McQueen and Joe Jordan both saw Man Utd as a stepping stone to better things but did either ever refuse to play for us. Anyway thanks again I always enjoy reading your articles and comments.
PEPE i didn,t say they refused to play but Bremner Charles and I believe Charlton made it quite clear they wanted to move as did Hasselbaink who must have demanded the earth from Ridsdale. My memory goes back at least 60 years better than i CAN REMEMBER THINGS THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY WHICH MAY SEEM STRANGE
