    Probably for the same reason everyone outside of England in the UK wishes the England football team nothing but woe, because we're sick of ****ing listening about them.

    I quite like the guy, initially I thought he was just a moody git.

    In many respects he still is but I've seen him play at Wimbledon and I was pleased to see him win and would prefer him to win the Aussie title over Djokvic.

    I liked his honesty, only a mug would really believe that a true Scot would wish England well when it comes to football. Why was everyone so outraged by it?

    If Scotland ever qualified for a tournament I would really struggle with a Germany v Scotland match.

    Maybe I just don't care so much when it comes to tennis, a bit like with the athletics we compete as team GB so I don't discount the medals won by the non English.
