Andy Murray says he is ready for Feliciano Lopez when they meet in their Wimbledon quarter-final on Wednesday. The British number one has practised with the Spaniard regularly and beaten him in all four previous meetings, so he is confident he knows what to expect from his opponent. He said: "He serves very well, has a good slice backhand, and plays differently to a lot of other Spaniards. Murray and Lopez are second on Centre Court today following the Roger Federer v Jo-Wilfried Tsonga match. Murray added: "Lopez likes coming forward a lot. I'll have a lot of passing shots to hit and need to return better than I did against Richard Gasquet on Monday." "My last match was good and it's important I maintain that level. I need to return better in the early part of the match, but I'm happy with the way I'm serving and I've got to keep that up. "Lopez is a tough player and he's been playing really well. He's got a good game for grass and has a big serve. "It's going to be a very hard match. The key for me will be to return well and if I do that, I'll give myself a good chance of reaching the semi-finals." The Scot added: "I know we're well into the second week now but I can't afford to approach things any differently. "I have to keep calm, focused and take one match at a time. The closer you get to reaching the semis and final, the pressure builds a little bit, but the excitement is still the same." Lopez, aged 29, has previously reached the quarter-finals in 2005 and 2008. He overcame Andy Roddick in the third round and is relishing his chance to take on the Scot in his home Grand Slam. He said: "It is a great match to play. Especially if you play the number one British player. I played Tim Henman once a few years ago when he played his last Wimbledon and it is was such a great experience." Lopez knocked Henman out of the tournament in the second round in 2007, but knows it will be difficult to stop Murray reaching his third straight Wimbledon semi-final. He continued: "Of course I know that if I want to beat Andy, then I have to play good. But I have had a couple of good wins during this tournament. I beat Andy Roddick, and I had a great comeback against Kubot." Lopez has been practising with Murray in the run-up to the tournament and caught the eye of Murray's mother Judy, who dubbed him 'Deliciano' on social networking site Twitter. But he does not expect his admirer to be on his side today. He added: "She's funny. She has a great personality. But on Wednesday it is going to be a family member playing against Deliciano. She won't be supporting me any more."
