Does anyone know what time Andy's match is on tomorrow? I've done a search but can only find out about the matches already played - HELP!

    Yes...it should be 1.30am - 2.00 am UK time.

I've put this on the other thread, too, not that we seem to get much passing traffic on here.

It's a shame but it doesn't help that it's way down the bottom and all but hidden out of sight. I know the sports are listed alphabtically but surely tennis should be given more prominence than sports like baseball, cycling and basketball?

Maybe WestCountry could PM Mick and ask him to consider moving the tennis forum to a more prominent spot?

ST, you are quite right we should have more prominence and I will pm Mick about it - once these site issues have been sorted as I'm sure he has too much on his plate right now to worry about us here. Thanks <ok>

Well, that took Andy less than an hour!

I want to find Andy's post match interview, maybe it will be on Youtube, shortly.

I'm wide awake now lol. Will have a browse round on here then go to bed.

    Well done Andy!

Worked out brilliantly. An easy win in searing heat means he gets to preserve his energy for his next round match against the Japanese Nishikori who caused an upset by beating Tsonga 2-6 6-2 6-1 3-6 6-3.

Yes...Nishikori must have been cream crackered after that!

Looking very good for Andy's match against him on Wednesday.

I find it quite shocking that it took me until late this morning to find out Andy had walked away with the match under his belt in little over 40 mins. What is wrong with the media? I awoke at 5am to BBC radio Devon, guess what? Not a mention of Andy Murray or even the Aussie Open at all, so I came downstairs and tried the 3 Eurosports channels - no news just other matches going on. I tried Sky Sports (no)News and along the bottom of the screen there was mention of every sport you could think of - even ones I'd vaguely heard of and from all over the world but apparently Andy's match or tennis in general wasn't worth a mention. I then put the radio back on and changed channels - still no mention of Andy Murray or tennis. I had the news on at work but no one mentioned Andy's match until about 11am. I find this truly shocking, really I do...

...they wonder why we are so short of decent tennis players in this country when it isn't publicised <doh> what is wrong with the media???

Anyway well done Andy, abandoned or not they all count and I'm sure he'd have won this match injured oponant or not. Apparently the heat was energy sapping so I'm glad it was over quickly. <ok>

    It's frustrating isn't it Lala?

It was the same when Andy won the Montreal Masters in '09 (I think it was).
There wasn't a mention of his win on the GMTV sports news the next morning, even Andrew Castle, who was presenting that day didn't say anything. I remember banging on about it, elsewwhere, at the time.

I had to find out the result on Ceefax.

As you say, what is wrong with the media?

Yeah, it's Ceefax for me too.

ps I think there's too many AO/Murray threads. Never sure which one to post on.

It doesn't matter which one you post on, if there is a new comment it will be in bold. I guess the AO is THE topic right now and all our hopes are resting on AM hence all the threads lol
