Interesting reading on Andy's hopes for the forthcoming Olympics and his mental recovery from that Wimbledon defeat. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ol...2-Olympics-Andy-Murray-confident-success.html
I'm sorry he will not have recovered mentally yet from losing to Federer.......even without Nadal around the No1 and 3 in the world will be the favourites.
Wont be watching. Don't think people like Murray, Federer et al. should be playing in the Olympics. Ditto footballers.
He should at least bring home a bronze. Hard to see him beating Novak or Roger, but in three sets upsets can happen.
But you can watch tennis and football for most of the year. The thing I like about the Olympics is watching sports you don't usually watch, featuring people you've never heard of. When else would you watch rowing?!?
Andy Murray beats Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3 6-3 on Centre Court at Wimbledon to progress to the men's singles second round.
Despite myself, I ended up watching some of Murray's match today. Have to say he looks a far more mature and composed player since Wimbledon. Kiss of death I know but I'm predicting that he'll either win an Olympic gold or win the US. Maybe even both.
Andy beats Baggy (again) and is through to the last 8: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19086397
Playing again today. Certainly a tough schedule, even more so after his doubles match with Laura Robson last night (which they won!)
Must say I really enjoyed the Murray v Djokovic match. Great play from both players and some sublime shots and excellent rallys. Hopefully he'll take that form into the final. Why is it five sets though? Are the women playing five sets? Equality?
Superb display from muzza over the last week, 2 gold medal matches to come, time to bring home the gold hopefully. Oh and a shout out to Laura Robson.
