... recall that I commented pre-season that the Prem might suit his game better than the hustle and bustle of the Championship ... think that's proving to be the case ... 3 very assured performances against the midfield's of 3 of last season's top 5 says it all ...
I would have been happy to sell him based on his Championship performances, but seems to have found it more comfortable at this level, probably due to less aggression in other teams midfield's compared to the Championship.
Was quality in League 1 which was even rougher - and his first couple of season in the championship were quality. He was our captain for a while as well. Sven ruined him imho - took him until now to regain his form.
Hes a different player now though, he was only really quality with his attacking play before, getting in the box late and having a quality finish, but now hes doing an all round better job.
