I've not been a big fan of Andy King over recent times, mainly due to him doing a "Paul Daniels disappearing trick" during games, but credit where credit's due, he looks like he has got his head down in training and worked hard. He has come off the bench twice and scored twice so surely a starting place is due. This would be a great chance for him to cement a 1st team place and hopefully get us 15 goals from midfield this season. I know he had a bad injury and perhaps wasn't fit enough when he came back last season, but I think we could finally have our old Kingy back at last. Centre midfield is a position where you can not hide during games, so come on Kingy, keep this form up and help drive us forward
Yes with all the talk of Danns, James, Marshall etc it's kind of ironic that if King does get back to what we know he's capable of then it could be him that ends up driving us forward and scoring the important goals. Let's hope so anyway, we need our players at their best against Blackburn today.
It must have something to do with the fact we have a good squad & players must fight for a starting position. Beckford take note.
Still think hes more effective coming off the bench with ample time remaining (around, if not before the 60th minute) If hes bought on from the start, teams will get used to his runs too quickly and he'll dissapear, leaving Drinkwater, Danns or James to pick up alot of slack in midfield. We are creating the chances at the moment, so we just need to keep the faith and they will start flying in
I'll have money on King being given a starting place then immediately returning to the same **** form that cost him his place
This Moore has had that same sort of effect Before Charlton: "He was solid, deserves to keep his place" After Charlton: "We need defensive cover now!"
