Without King's goals he's offering nothing to the team - not a strong midfielder nor creative enough, Johnson/Wellens should be in the side above him. BUT How about playing King as a striker?
No - we need to drop one of Fernandes and Abi. No need of two defensive midfielders - is not letting King play the way we know he can to score the goals. We also have enough strikers so no need to convert him as one.
I think a King, Wellens, Abe, Fernandes/Johnson midfield. Am I the only one who thinks Fernandes is terribly inconsistent throughout a game, one minute he runs like there's no tomorrow, next you don't know he's on the field. Not enough impact for all of the games he has played in but then again I still rate him
I think Abe is a bit of a liability away from home. He gets muscled out of challenges and gives the ball away too easily - things that get the home crowds excited.
He should be played in the same sort of formation that Man City use and he should play the 'Aguero' role. --------Beckford----------- Nugent ---King----Gallagher ---Fernandes----Wellens---
I think Fernandes varies from one game to the next, though I know what you mean, at home to Brighton he was the worst player on the pitch in the first half but the second he was probably the best. He's been inconsistent but sadly, our best midfielder so far. I can somewhat sympathise with Sven as not one of our midfielders has been consistently good so far, so no wonder he doesn't know what his best team is. However this is partly because he has been playing them out of position - Wellens is too deep, Fernandes has been too far forward and Danns started off playing on the wing. Johnson has had little game time and when he has been on he's been played too deep too. But Abe has been inconsistent since he's been here and King is not fulfilling his potential at all at the moment. We could talk about the midfield all day but it's hard to make a real strong case for any of them. Should King be dropped? Possibly, the Derby game has been his only good performance but that was a recent one. As poor as Gallagher was I'd like to see him come back when he's fit in King's position. I'd probably go for Fernandes (holding) /Wellens/Danns (middle) /Johnson (attacking) tomorrow, but I'm 99% sure that will not happen.
Bumped this back up as I defy any Leicester fan to defend Andy kings place in the side! He has been absolute ****e all season!
Andy King was **** last season but he was scoring goals so we could let him stay in the team but this season he isnt scoring goals and is absolutly useless. We dont look like scoring with King in the team as he doesnt create chances or anything. I could of played better then him today. I dont understand how he is getting into the matchday squad never mind the team. Neil Danns is more worthy of a place in the team then King and now that Paul Gallagher is back hopefully King gets dropped
