It seems the FA have acted quickly today and that Andy Carroll's appeal has been rejected. More on @MailSport soon

FA must have seen some malice then, his rolling on the floor doesn't help his cause, but it shows that they feel there was intent by Caroll.

That's WHU relegated then. Won't he miss an extra game now? <whistle>

4 instead of 3 is it? Back to Carlton Cole it is. I think this confirmation that Chico didn't cheat. He just made a massive meal of it, which happens a lot in Spain.

Not justifying him rolling around on the floor. He needs to cut that out of his game.

Exactly swan and only , spanish players play in an enviroment were everyone rolls around . I think Carrol's ban should be more than 3 games because the intent to injure was very , very dangerous

Justified overall. He got away with one in the first half which was worse than the actual red card offense. Agree that this does not help the WHU cause.

If every time someone waved an arm at anyone else on the pitch they hit the deck rolling and holding their face the game would be an absolute shambles.

I've got no doubt Carrol would have stayed on the pitch had Chico reacting according to the actual contact. He's certainly not the only PL player with that in his game but he's got to be one of the worst at present.

You can argue intent but IMO there wasn't a great deal of that, at worst if was a bit daft waving an arm about. He certainly didn't swing an elbow or anything that malicious. I'll admit at this point I didn't watch the game so if he did get away with one earlier as mentioned above I can't comment because I haven't seen it. I've only seen a clip of incident and the goals.

It takes some going for me to feel sorry for Fat Sam but I do feel they've been shafted on this by Chico and the FA. On the plus side it's obviously good news for both of us that they've not got him for 3 games. To be honest my sympathy has run out whilst I've been typing this..... bollocks to West Ham I hope they go down <laugh>

The fact is that Carroll did lash out - so the red card is justified. However - Flores also deserves a game ban in my eyes for cheating also. I don't care about Carroll - he's not a player for my club, but Flores is an embarrassment to me at the moment.

agree he is embarrassing when he acts like that! all he need to do is hold his head where he was hit and draw it to the refs attention. but in this incident the ref was looking straight at it so he knows what he saw and acted according.

This kind of rot needs to be stopped and that needs to start with the manager and the club and retrospective action from the FA. It's beyond a joke now.

Edit: talking about Chico. Carrol's took care of itself.

I glad his ban stands as it would be an injustice to us the way Fat sam obviously tried to get one of his players to try and get chico sent off...3 match ban...take that fat sam...

I think Carroll did swing an arm... But Chico humiliated himself. I don't think I have ever seen a Swansea game where he didn't try to get someone booked.
