Someone told me that one of the sunday rags was badmouthing Andy Carroll at the weekend. It was commenting on his dodgy life style, weight gain etc. I felt sure that KK would take him under his wing and ensure he stayed on the straight and narrow. Is this just the usual rag boll...s, or does anyone know if there's anything to worry about? Thoughts.
It's his Summer holiday, if he gains weight and drinks a bit too much - then that's his problem. As long as he comes back fit and healthy and not in prison then we have nothing to worry about.
I'd hope considering how his Liverpool career started ie. blighted by injury problems would mean he's getting him self in shape but it is well known he likes a drink. All the more reason to sign another striker to put pressure on him and give us an alternative if his fitness is a problem.
You mean this one: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/not...-over-Liverpools-Andy-Carrolls-lifestyle.html Looks to me like the usual attempt to sensationalise and bad mouth. It has all the hallmarks of typical red top BS including the references to 'sources' at the club, and 'questions being asked', without actually quoting anyone. That said, I think Carroll will need to step up his fitness next season if he's to make the impact Liverpool fans are hoping for. The fact he's had to be rested for the U21s despite only playing 28 games last season indicates that something may not be right...
I read the report and Swarbs you are 100% right, well spotted mate. It was from a report from Chris Bascombe. Now he's normally an excellent journalist, but he's let himself down with such an article.Kenny has informed Andy Carroll of what he expects in terms of dedication and discipline and atitude, and Andy Carroll has understood and co-operated thus far.Kenny has said as much. What Bascombe also failed to mention is that Andy Carroll is currently at the same resort as Wayne Rooney.I'm not saying Wayne Rooney is doing anything wrong, but to suggest Andy Carroll is either is just pure spite.Bascombe should know better.
I love Barbados and if you've ever been there you too would appreciate just how luxurious Sandy Lane is. It's Carroll's holiday so let him enjoy the sun, sea and the rum for a couple of weeks - it's costing him plenty! He already knows the weight of expectation that lies on his shoulders for next season and he knows that the 'hell' of pre-season is only a few weeks away. Party now and work later.
My point exactly. Alex Ferguson has no problem with Wayne Rooney doing just that, and as I said,He and Andy Carroll are at the same resort.
Gary Mac is keeping an eye on them. Seriously though, guys like Rooney need the rest and its fully deserved, he had a full season last year, the world cup before that, the season before that and before that it was world cup qualifiers - this rest will be a God send and it should be a lot more entertaining next season because of it
Sorry mate but they're more likely to be right than wrong. He comes from the same mold as Lee Catermole off the pitch.
