Just watched United vs West Ham and I would definately accept Carroll at City to play with RVW next year if we could get him for £8-10m. Just saying...thoughts?

I d try for Bony at Vitesse or Hosiner at Austria Vienna. That is assuming we stay up, which I think we will just scrape to.Would also say Benteke if Villa were to go , which I do not think they will. If Wigan went I would say Kone looks decent. Cannot see many offers for ours if we go though!!!
He is on 90k a week at Liverpool and on a long contract. West Ham would like to keep him but can't afford his wages and the player, allegedly, will not negotiate. As I understand it our wage cap is £20k a week. Absolutely no chance even if Hughton wanted him.
He is the antithesis of everything I appreciate about football. What I hate even more is the admiration from others for him.. Its not that I really hate Carroll (although thinking about it I probably do), its just that I know exactly what would happen if we signed him. He's just an easy excuse to play long balls. Chris Hughton would love him.
Not in a millions years the most overrated player in the history of the Premiership, for little or no achievements.
I actually agree with Carrabuh here. Carroll is a gimmick. Sure, he's a dangerous player in the right system, but you have to sacrifice a lot of your system to support him. He's going to get 100 caps for England, and that depresses me.
Im good surgery, and you sir? havent been on much recently so thats why no one has seen me other than lineup thread. I know that Hooper isnt everyones cup of tea, but i think him and RvW could become a bloomin good strike force in this league
Owen on five live was pretty adamant he wasn't going to get many caps! I think he'll end up getting quite a few because he does suit the "English" style of play. People think of Carroll as only good in the air, but the thing people forget about is he does actually have a very good left foot. Shame about the rest...

If CH wanted a Carroll style player to lump it up to Zigic would be a much cheaper alternative and he and Hughton have "previous". Someone in the style of Benteke would be a perfect foil to Wolfy.
