Andy Carroll set for West Ham move after £2m loan fee agreed West Ham United have agreed a £2m loan fee with Liverpool for Andy Carroll. The deal for the England striker is with a view to a permanent transfer of £17m, providing West Ham United stay in the Premier League.
Sorry forgot to add that it will be a permanent £17m transfer!!!!! OMG, that sounds like too much money. Imagine how much Norwich will moan about this happening...... I feel that he is the type of player that will suit Allardyce and WHU, they will simply build the team around him like Newcastle did.
I will LMAO more if they go down. He said he wont go there so they may end up not getting him anyway.
More like £18m if his initial price was £35m as was reported at the time; phenomenal misvaluation!!
They have also agreed to let Alberto Aquilani go back to Italy for a undisclosed fee. That was another £20 million wasted
Caroll is worth about 6 million maximum.....and thats only for his heading ability......West Ham have been mugged off big time....Liverpool have also been mugged off big time and the only people who are laughing are Newcastle with Cisse, and Ba bought with the Carrol money and with spare change left over!
Play to his strengths and he'll score plenty. Going to Liverpool was always going to be tough and the genius Dalglish buying wingers to get the ball in the box and then not playing them on the correct wings did little to help him. I honestly think he'll do well there playing the Allardyce way.
Dalglish has spent ridiculous amounts on average players with no return. Carroll - £35,000,000 - 4 PL goals - £8,750,000 per PL goal Henderson - £20,000,000 - 2 PL goals - £10,000,000 per PL goal Downing - £20,000,000 - 0 PL goals - Infinite £ per PL goal Adam - £7,000,000 - 2 PL goals - £3,500,000 per PL goal ...And then... Mackie - £150,000 - 7 PL goals - £21,428.57 per PL goal Liverpool will be lucky to get rid of these players for a quarter of their fee, whereas Mackie's fee has multiplied by 23 1/3.
And the 15 mill they lost on Aquilani . Thats why we ( as a club ) have to be so careful with flamboyant transfers , two go wrong and we could be in financial trouble . Personally i like the way we are doing business at the moment , free transfers, one good on loan player, £2m on JS park who will get that back in shirt sales alone. We are building nicely and sensibly.
Andy Carroll has said he would not consider a permanent move to West Ham Would we be happy to take somebody on loan for lots of money that has that attitude?
