...maybe it's just a secret hope, as he's not coming to us anytime soon, that it's beginning to look like 'wor' Andy is a bit of a sick note.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind about his ability, a fully fit & flying Andy Carroll is quite rightly an England international.

I haven't looked into his injury record for exact statistics, but it just seems to me, that he does spend a long time on the physio bench.

    Hmm...

On SSN Carroll will miss start of season. I would have loved to have seen him back at SJP but agree he does spend a lot of time on physio bench.

He's still quite young, and to have as many injuries as he's had in such a short space of time, would be of concern to me.

I would only have him back now as a 5-6m deal to be part of a 3 man striker set. Good player, but too injury prone at the moment to be spending massive bucks on.

I don't think his injury problems are going to get any better as he gets older.

Carroll will always pick up injuries due to the way he plays, his size and of course he doesn't really look after himself away from football. HBA has the same problem as you can see when he returns from injury massively overweight. Benni is a terrible trainer supposedly. I'd still have liked Carroll back but it was financial suicide.

Always thought he was very similar to Duncan Ferguson, great on his day but very fragile and injury prone sadly.
