This from the daily mirror: QPR want to sign Tottenham winger Andros Townsend on loan in January Anyone got any info on how true and if so what's he like?
I am wondering if we are going to try and loan some quality homegrown under 25's as they dont need to be registered to play in the squad (I think), so we will then have more options if injuries occur..
He was at Ipswich for a bit last season. He's agile and skillful but would prefer an option to buy because he's a bit light weight at the moment (probably on a par with Hogan but with potential/time to improve).
He wouldn't be in a Spurs 2nd XI so we should be looking for someone with a bit more. Bassong and Kranjcar would be ideal, Defoe I think is a deal too far for us...
I've never been impressed by Kranjcar...I'm sure he's better than I realise as he seems highly rated.
Kranjcar needs to be playing regularly to be at his best, but at his best he is very positive and has an eye for goal too. Too dear at £8mill but at £2mill would be a good buy, but all depends on what is happening with Tarbs. I think he is the key to who we buy and how much we spend.
Why does NW bring in players he is never going to use. Dont understand that. Its 451 or nothing so unless the player fits in that mould he may aswell stay put at his parent club. ie Punchoen, DJ, etc etc.
Andros Townsend? No way, has far too much to say for himself as a TV pundit, too old and used to play for that lot over at the Bridge...
