The Andrew Sykes Corporation will continue to sponsor our shirts and training kit next. Quite happy with this, prefur to see local companies sponsoring us than money lending/betting firms http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/20130612-andrews-sign-up-for-second-year-861282.aspx -Also anyone think the photos on this look like a bad photoshop job?
Whilst it's not very nice to look at on our shirts, they have done a lot for the club since becoming more involved. I must admit to being slightly underwhelmed in the sense that Prothero, a man with his contacts, failed to secure the club something my financially satisfying.
Amen to that Eastbourne - on this subject, I see sanity has finally broken out at Bolton with that scuzzy usurer being kicked into touch - our Trotters here are well pleased with that. Another good sign this deal shows is that the arrangement last year came over as a bit of a last minute fudge but if there's been tangible and attributable benefits to the company from last year's deal, in a corporate sense, it'd be a no-brainer to keep it going.
It's a shame we couldn't get GOOGLE to sponsor our shirts..... they must have hit loads of cash considering how much tax they pay!
I don't think Google have any staff in the UK who could negotiate sponsorship deals. Might dilute the brand too - some folk would start trying to 'Charlton' photos of cats or the weather in Spain etc
Just saying, this is how the Bundasliga clubs have so much money and charge so little, they backed companies like BMW and Volkswagen before they got massive and they continue to sponser them, granted I don't think Andrew's will get that big but still (Y)
Depends what sort of Summer/Winter we have, I suppose Ted - scorching July, freezing December and they'll be minted...
And they would keep changing the logo on the shirt for stupid reasons like Alexander Graham Bell's birthday or 75th anniversary of Gone With the Wind
That would be terrible. They'd be like Red Bull, want to change the name of the club to Charlton Googlers (or something), and the name of the stadium to The Valleyplex. On the upside, we'd probably have the most technologically advanced stadium in the United Kingdom. Free fibre optic Wifi, glasses with game commentary inc. HD video replays, free food and drinks for all fans in the stadium, technology hubs (with new mobile devices to mess around on), think stations, sleeping stations (in case the result don't go your way), slides, ping pong and pool tables. They have quite a lot of staff in the UK too. I'm always at their offices, and they have some proper funky things there.
