Surprised he's gone to a Champ side, would've been a superb signing for Town. So impressive in front of goal for us last season, better than any forward we've had in the last five years. Then carried that on at West Brom and did himself very proud as unquestionably the best player in a shocking Ireland side at the Euros. Good luck Keith
dont agree there lancy obviously good in front of goal for us but thought his general midfield play was average. good luck to him and have nothing against him just dont think he would have been a good signing for us.
Would have to agree Lancs, if used properly though!! Despite his goalscoring threat his overall game play suits the DM role and not an attacking midfielder. I thought when he played in the deeper position for town he was superb, he rarely lost the ball and started moves going with short sharp one touch passes, he often made difficult first time passes look easy, he controlled the game at his own pace and has a presence. Unfortunately he is not happy playing in this role as he first mentioned when he came here, he thinks he's an attacking midfielder but as soon as he gets further up the pitch he tries stupid flicks and losses the ball alot. Although he has got a hell of a shot on him and his runs into the box are superb it's just his overall game play further up the pitch is not very good.
Dodged a bullet here. Pro's with Andrews = one HELL of a shot. Negatives = literally everything else. Would have been massive wages for a hole in midfield. No thank you.
thats the problem PTC, he wants to play attacking midfield and cant and reported fell out at blackburn as they wouldnt play him in the role. if he was happy to play deeper than he could be a good acquisition for us, taking over the leadbitter role
he's also not good further back. offers NOTHING in the tackle not good in the air an alright passer of the ball, won't set many up not the quickest I really am not a fan. Good shot that's all. Rather play against him than have him in our midfield.
