I see he's now been given a place on the Ranger's Board. It would appear that all the pieces in Craig Whyte's jigsaw are fitting into place. "In 2001, Ellis, was linked with a £9m takeover of Queens Park Rangers FC. The plans for the bid were rumoured to involve selling Loftus Road, and moving to a site at Heathrow." "2002 saw an Ellis-led consortium pay £500,000 for Northampton Town FC, and Ellis took over as chairman. Although generally welcomed by fans, his arrival failed to transform fortunes on the pitch" "In June 2010, it was announced 'advanced talks' were taking place. Some sources suggest part of the motivation for the deal, from Ellis' point of view, lay in the potential for development of the mostly council-owned area, around Ibrox stadium." "Establishing the business acumen and financial wherewithal of the 41-year-old from London, described variously as a property developer and an estate agent" “Ellis turned up at Northampton Town shortly afterwards...He was a disaster and didn’t last very long at all before he parted company with the club” says local fanzine editor Mark Kennedy, who recalls a larger-than-life character and talk of a move to Milton Keynes. Rangers are ****ed
Rangers are specially blessed having Whyte and Ellis singing off the one hymn sheet. Rangers will cease to exist as a football club in half the time with the business acumen that they both bring to the plate.
He also sought to amalgamate Queens Park Rangers and Fulham. Partick Thistle beware . Murray did say he'd make sure not to sell to any old charlatan which is why he never sold to Ellis........ach well.
craig whyte and andrew ellis are both rumoured to be members of Opus Dei.......... oh, at times like this I wish I`d kept that follow follow acount.
I heard that rumour as well. They apparently have their own 'personal prelature' with the specific pastoral activity/duty of infiltrating and bringing down the mighty institution that is/was Rangers FC. They will probably be canonized at some stage in future for their great work..... and named as the second and third "saints of ordinary life." In other words, Saints of ra peeple!
