Chelsea will rot unless they get somebody to shift out the olders players, for me AVB is a good manager but too young, he's the same age as some of these big-heads and maybe they think they are on a par with him
So Di Matteo until the end of the year and then...maybe, just maybe http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/128490-o-t-AVB?p=2403849&viewfull=1#post2403849
lampard has done wonders for them, some see him dropping him as bravery, i see it as mere stupidity and trying to prove a point that didnt need proving.
Why should somebody be guaranteed a place in the team no matter what, maybe dropping Lampard was a ploy to get the best out of him and instead he spat his dummy out?
its not no matter what tho is it, consecutively hitting double figures umpteen seasons in a row from midfield.. i havent heard lampard in the press slagging him off or sulking, its other people pointing out the obvious. im not saying i agree with sacking him, ive already said it shows what a joke that club has become that he was under this much pressure already, just dont think he did himself any favours at times.
Chelsea is a joke now like you say, will be nice to see Mourinho back though if that happens. AVB is a class act for me but too young to carry weight over here with the massive egos, I like the way he stood by his principles though, will be a great manager again in the future no doubt at all.
shame really as Chelsea are an ageing squad , their best was a few years ago and i reckon their current league position is about right . The only real eyebrowsia is the total lack of Torres goals , i dont follow them enough to know the reasons why this would be , but klets face it we would all stick Torres up top n expect him to score you a few goals.
I saw a funny tweet from Jamie Forrester about this just now: 'Frank Lampard says that he needs to think long and hard before deciding which manager he will hire as new Chelsea manager'
He always sounded out of his depth to me, dropping Cole and Lampard for the Napoli game when Terry was already out was suicide. And he's a Pedro faced bastard.
dunno , but he pronounces Jose mourinhios name with a J and not a H - which i thought for a portogeezer was a bit odd
Stick with the point I made last night, why employ a 34 year old manager if you're not going to give him time and let the squad go through its transitional period and let said manager take charge of that squad? After today it makes you wonder why they didn't just keep Ancelotti who got them trophies and fighting for the title. The way they chopp and change managers at will is a joke and will surely put off any potential candidates. Chelsea fans on twitter wanting Guardieloa, don't make me laugh!
I don't know if it's more ridiculous thinking he'd leave Barca to go to them, or that people automatically think he'd be good just because he is at Barca. When he took over there he didn't have to change much, all he really has to do is change personnel every now and then to keep it fresh and replace ageing players. If he came to Chelsea he'd presumably want them to completely change their style of play, he's done nothing in the past to suggest he could get them through that transition, especially not if the timescale allowed is going to be 9 months.
