http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...anchester-United-to-sign-James-Rodriguez.html I hope so. It's unbelievable he cost £25m. I would have loved to see him be a success at United but he never seems to be able to put a run of good games together. Whilst he has shown glimpses of brilliance for us he has never done it often enough to justify a being a regular starter. How much do you think we could get for him ? Do you want to see him go or are you someone who still thinks he needs more time ?
He's got the potential to be brilliant. I think Fergie's tried to help him fulfil his potential but, for whatever reason, Anderson hasn't kicked on. I know we joke about him being fat but the reality is he is a professional sportsman and at times he carries too much weight.
When he first joined us he played two matches in quick succession against Arsenal and Liverpool. He bossed Fabregas and Gerrard in those games and looked like he could go on to become a top quality player. Sadly that was a good 5 years ago and he seems to have spent the interim eating pies, shagging whores and getting injured.
We need to trim away the dead wood and ununfortunately he has been drifting for to long. This Porto link was around last season aswell, but I think we will be lucky to get 6-8m back for him, bit I would take that and reinvest it in someone else. I think we are looking at a midfield over haul this summer, Anderson, Nani, Fletcher(illness who knows if he will ever be back) Giggs has shown recently he can only be used as an impact player from the bench and as for Scholes his passion and commitment is there to see but one again he is like Giggs. Not only is that 5 players but all midfield. Which would leave Young, Valencia, Carrick and Cleverley as our only senior midfield players, that worries me!
A few promising appearances in what 6 years, a total joke. Time most certainly to move on together with Nani while both still can be useful bargaining chips in the transfer market.
He didn't. That's just lazy journalism - he cost 30 million Euros, but back when it was around 1.5 Euros to the pound, so around £20 million. Still a lot tho! Personally I think he's had enough time. Time to move on and look elsewhere.
I'd happily give Anderson his bus fare out of town, he's had more than enough time. Fat and unfit means lot's of injuries, not the other way round. Assuming he goes and that Giggs and Scholes are no more and it is very unlikely Fletcher will be back at the start of the season this suggests we will have to sign at least one CM. Which is good news. Very strong possibilty Rooney moves back there and I always thought Jones would be good there aso but personnally I think he needs to be allowed to develope into a top drawer centre half. I bet we only sign one, which gives the likes of Powell and Cleverly their opportunity but would leave us light in cover. Who would we like to sign at CM then?
Windy I've just been reminded of someone who may be available but only if Guardiola doesn't see him fitting in is Bastian Schweinsteiger and is only 28 right in his prime, just a thought!
I can't see why he wouldn't fit in! There's no better in my opinion. We can but dream, peak of his game and would just slot right in.
too inconsistent ... potential that never been fulfilled possibly due to injuries... but has to be sold i value him at 15m plus .. he is a very good player
If we can get Liverpool interested we might recoup the whole £25 million I think we would get anywhere between 5 and 10 million.
The top end of that is what I think we will get for Anderson, he hasn't done a thing to merit a decent price
he is a very good midfielder, fast, strong, his passing are good, good first touch pass , balanced he is way better than most midfielders that Liverpool bought for 15-20m
You can't use Liverpool as a comparison to work out how much Anderson is worth.... They pay 300% the value of any player they buy
