Just found this - an outburst from a 'broth of a boy' - but there's a lot of sense/truth in it:

A bit rich coming from him, but he is right.

The stories coming from NZ sounded like they all treat it as if it was a lads holiday instead of a professional international tournament.

 

The image portrayed by the media of Barton and his own actions, marked him out as a complete cock end, to be scoffed at.

I changed my opinion of him a bit after seeing him on the Beebs saturday morning programme, when I thought he talked reasonably eloquently about a number of topics.

Now I just see him as a bit of a cock, but worth listening to. Bit like Colin ****** his boss.

have to hand it to that boy barton, he speaks the truth.

 

I've seen stuff he's said - since his (past?) 'Bad Boy' phase - and he seems to have some sense in there.
