From the interview with the Brentford boss he refers to a striker who cost us £1m. Am I missing something here or is it the standard argument of a losing manager? I thought BWP was significantly cheaper than that.
Said 'cost'.. not value. Alot of the managers are so immature, remember Mk Dons sore loser attitude. That 'BIT' of quality up front that he refers to in a way to say there isnt much much difference between the teams means 17 points on the league table. Have some grace.
sad bitter loser....thats why managers such as Tisdale at Exeter get my respect and take it on the chin. We are going up Brentford are going nowhere get over it.
I thought Bradley cost us £275k with some add ons? Reading offered £300k + add ons but wanted a medical which Bradley can never pass
It's the Eurozone crisis that's playing on his mind, he appears to have had a flashback to the Weimar Republic...absolutely graceless excuse. Yes AllHell, even though the fee was 'undisclosed', I've always understood that to be the deal.
This annoys me greatly, as, more than anything, if a paper runs with that quote in the report, then the casual observer will assume it to be true - they will think Little Charlton are now Big Charlton buying themselves the league what with the mass turnover of staff and players. Couldn't be further from the truth really.
Rosler can talk- its well known brentford offered some handsome wages to players like donaldson. That said, he could talk till blue in the face. We are top of the league- who cares what anyone says?
Just got round to listening to Rosler's interview and to be quite honest, it's the sound of a man clutching at straws. It's not the language difference either, as he's more articulate and understandable than some home-grown managers. I'm surprised the BBC allows such a simple error to sit on the website without comment. Well, actually, no I'm not.
Maybe he included the wages ? Although, if he did that, he'd have to look at the wages being handed out by Brentford, because that's definitely not a cheap squad that they have.
I've got a brilliant idea, why don't we make up a lie back at them, we could say that Miguel Llera is on 100 grand a week and Brentford are paying 150% of his wages, if we post it on enough other clubs forums people will start to believe it, that would serve the Brentford manager right, say 'yes' if you agree and say what club's websites you are going to put it on.
Rumour has it he's not on 130k per week, its actually 130,000 pounds of Hay that they're feeding that Donkey. Incidentally, Gary Alexander is seen as a 'goal-scorer' a bit like BWP so they're not exactly lacking quality up front, their quality is just not performing. He also said Brentford were by far the better team, yes they had more possession and were slightly stronger in the tackle at times, but I only remember Ben Hamer making one great save to deny them, Richard Lee on the other hand had his work cut out to stop a number of quality shots from Green, Kermorgant and Bwp.
