We deserved to win in my honest opinion, don't care what anyone says.

We created more chances and totally dominated the second half, even before the sending off.

I have seen some mackems complaining saying we are the dirty team? Cattermole should have been off right at the start, I haven't seen it again but McLean on Simpson was over the ball I thought and then shoved his head into Simpson.

It was a definite penalty to Sunderland, thought we should have had one at the end of the first half.

I will have to watch it again but I'm happy with a point, we deserved to win imo and I'm happy with the performance, second half.

Shola should have been on at HT and Ben Arfa tore Richardson a new one.

    4 points from the derbies.

I think a draw was the right result.
Sunderland came with a game plan and stuck to it. On the break they looked dangerous and thought O'Shea looked class at the back.
In the first half we were awful and I was pleased to see HBA and Shola come on. Shola should have started, he knows what the derbies mean to fans.
Cattermole was lucky to stay on but thought he was just trying to make a point to Tiote and it backfired as he was walking on egg shells for 85 minutes.

Even "Wor Kev" thought Sunderland were far the better team before the sending off. If Mclean hadn't missed he sitter then it would have been a Sunderland victory and probably a NUFC player being sent off.

Sunderland deserved their half-time lead as we were ****e and MW gave away a daft penalty.

We totally dominated 2nd half even before the sending off.

Don't take my word for it... check out the match stats. <ok>

I did laugh when Cattermole got booked about 3 mins in.

I think a draw was fair. We were absolutely battering Sunderland for the last half an hour but if they get all their men behind the ball and defend ruggedly, then that's just how it is and you can't blame them for doing that.

Very well organised side like I must admit. Tough to break down.

we were the better team first half, and yous looked the better team in the second, even before the sending off.

play-acting or not (and your boy tiote has done himself no favours with that little display), it was a red card and after that only one team in it - we are set up to play the fast break through sessegnon and with him gone we had no outlet, so pleased with a point.

maclean on simpson was no worse than cabaye's a few minutes earlier - late, from the side and not studs up or over the ball - just about a booking imo.

shame about ben arfa tumbling down a bit too easily, apart from that he looked a class above once he came on, best player on the pitch second half.

and it will be a glorious day on wearside when shola sodding ameobi retires.

i thought a draw was fair, all things considered.

    Shola should have started.
We know that Ba and Cisse are going to be our no1 pairing but it's the Derby and Shola has a fantastic record in it.
