Shocking performances from Lampard,Ramires,Oscar and was it Torres or Ba up front because I couldn't tell the ****ing difference.
Just another case of one step forwards, one step back from us. This is going to be a long season. Rafa is by no means a bad manager but there does seem to be a problem with motivation. West ham, Swansea, Southampton, QPR etc are all teams we should be beating...3 of them games were at home as well.
Can't wait for the season to end, our quality means we should get 3rd but we've played nowhere near to potential this season, partly because of ongoings off the pitch.
The formation has to change but until we get Mikel and/or Romeu back that can't happen. We need to get away from 4231. It's clear that which ever striker we have on display isn't getting enough service from midfield. It was hopeless yesterday. I'd try: Back 4 Mikel Ramires and Mata Hazard Moses Ba More 4 1 2 2 1
I agree our striker/s were ****e - I though Ba was next to useless. I hope he has not peaked with us already!
It was the lack of urgency that I found strangest during the game. You were playing like it was a league game and a point was a decent result and as a result never got close to creating enough to even take it to extra time, let alone win. It's one thing not to play great but despite creating a few attacks here and there you never looked like you were chasing the game, just going through the motions. If Rafa stays and you don't get some quality signings in before the close of the window I can see you finishing outside of the top 4 again.
Not enough credit given to the opposition. Our two CBs were fantastic, and Ba (who I really like, btw) had to resort to diving to try and get something. Having said that, I thought you'd throw the kitchen sink at us second half but you didn't and allowed us to get into the game. We actually came closest to scoring. No side, not even the European Champs have a right to win - even against littler fish.
