Toela,"bitterness" is the wrong word. Think more along the lines of deep rooted disappointment,the kind you get when you feel you've been used. You may get to experience it should Rodgers actually perform a miracle and get Liverpool playing like Swansea. Then maybe one of the REALLY big Clubs will come after him,viz,Manchester City;Manchester United;Chelsea;Arsenal,etc.,etc. "Just move on",is what most Swansea fans have done,but the odd one or two are taking a bit longer. Liverpool F.C. is a much respected Club,but Rodgers has tarnished it somewhat in the eyes of many football followers. Why would Everton fans' be bitter towards your team? They are the top Merseyside team, finishing above you last season. Or did I dream that? Evidently,the bitterness is surely all yours. Some Swans fans just aren't able to move on. It's always the same. They hated Martinez for years, then they hated Trundle and now the hate Rodgers. And most still hate Cardiff. They just aren't capable of focusing on their own team. To all Swans fans - just support your team. Forget about Rodgers, et al. Why are you so obsessed with other teams/managers?
I kinda agree with Casual! We all know Rodgers has turned out to be a w@nker of ginormous proportions. We all know what he said he would and wouldn't do and his word has turned out to be as strong as balsa wood. I just want to forget about him - let it go guys - at least until he comes back to visit.

I'm kind of split on this. On the one hand this is a manager that delivered Prem football to our Club and kept us up in style. That, my friends is a fact whether we like it or not. But implying that he was the architect of our style of play is almost laughable. Martinez was the main man in that regard imo and Rodgers only refined that (and it was Sousa that sorted us out defensively remember). I still say his signing of Sinclair was the main catalyst in our promotion and he deserves credit for that. But now I feel completely let down by him, not because he left but because his word apparently means very little. So disappointing, and yes it's made me angry. He's coming across as a rather ruthless guy full of Irish blarney, saying the right things at the right time to anyone willing to listen. Even the media have cottoned on and have used the term "Rodgers soundbites" a few times. So he's a bullshitter extraordinaire it seems, and he's proved me wrong and others right on this board. But I'm also cheesed off with fixating on him so much. We have made an exciting appointment in Laudrup that fans of other clubs have referred to as a 'real coup'. He's made some great signings at bargain prices already and I'm loving what I've seen so far. We have so much to be optimistic about right now and I for one prefer to concentrate on that. Just remember, the manager of one of the world's great clubs has publicly stated that it will "take time to get this team playing like Swansea". Now that makes me smile.
