2 points dropped today as the swans largely outplayed Villa yet nearly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

danny's finish was the most difficult chance of the game yet we squandered so many easier chances. It's hard to complain too much given the way the season is working out for us, yet we've come to expect to get something from games against a very inexperienced, confidence shot, under strength Villa.

Vorm didn't cover himself in glory today, he probably should have prevented the first goal.
Dyer came on did little and conceded a penalty. Ki again offered little and lost possession but he did put some nice through balls in at times too.
davies looked resolute and gets better with every game. A true home grown gem. I thought our centre backs coped well overall with limited Villa pressure but a 2-2 draw sticks in the craw as the swans bossed Villa to such an extent early on that if just one of Michu's woodwork bound efforts had struck home the game would have a been a proper hiding.

Pablo looked a little short of sharpness today but hopefully he will be back in the fast lane next time.

In summary; 1st half Swans dominated, 2nd half was typical Lambert v Swansea. defensive, tight, pressing and forcing us into crosses for such attacking giants as Pablo and Dyer to head.

A pretty fair summary I think. I agree that Pablo looks a little off, but probably is finding his feet again.,he showed nice touches. Jury still out on Ki in my opinion.

Looking forward to the next few days to see who is coming in to strengthen the midfield and attack.

Agree with what you say there steve, though why our build up play was so ponderous and slow second half is beyond me, our mindset on these type of games has to change, we should have had this game bagged in the first 30 minutes!................<ok>

Simple summary - if one of those early chances had gone in then it would probably been at least 4-0.

2nd half tempo was too slow with too many missed passes and some players off the pace today including Michu

We probably should have got the penalty

As we pushed forward then they were always going to get a chance although their penalty was harsh

Full marks to Danny for putting it away

Lets put it behind us and move on!
