I think thats the end of Nigel Pearson I would stick with him but i dont think the owners will. No game next week allowing them time to get a new man in.
Absolutely clueless 1st half, slightly better 2nd, still nowhere near good enought tho, not a chance of play offs given our last 4 games, not that we deserve it....
I wouldn't be surprised either way. Slightly disappointed if he was to get the sack. However, Adkins and McDermott available...
yeah adkins or di matteo for me, doubt di matteo would be a viable option but adkins would be a good shout. This clown has had 2 chances to get us promoted and ****ed it both times.
Too many false dawns this season, trouble is I don't think even SAF could deliver us promotion, we just seem lucked out. I'll be amazed if Pearson is still here next season and I think he knows it. So another overhaul of players is due and it seems at least another season in div 2.
After leaving a promising young team built on the self-proclaimed principles of loyalty, work ethic and self- improvement, old "flat-top" returned to Leicester citing the desire to "work for a board who's ambitions were more in line with my own". In so doing he became a gold-digging Judas to the the majority of fans of said former club, whom by-and-large had remained supportive despite his dour yet efficient footballing style and reticent attitude when dealing with fans and media alike. He also became a hypocrite in the eyes of his young and talented squad owing to the fact he didn't exactly show any degree of loyalty to them or the club, and Leicester's league position in direct comparison to Hull's throughout his tenure casts doubt on the ethic of self-improvement, except of course as far as personal bank-balance is concerned. As far as working for a board with ambitions more in-tune with his own; it will be becoming fast apparent to the aforementioned board that ambition may be one thing, but the ability to deliver under the the pressure of expectation is quite another. Barring a miracle, this is the end-game for Nigel, and there won't be many outside Leicester thinking that it could be happening to a more deserving individual! If anyone at Hull had failed to this extent with the level of resources at his disposal then there would be hell to pay. Perhaps this is why he decided it would be better for his career to move on!
I think the only way Nige will go is if Adkins, Di Matteo or McDermott is already lined up. No point getting rid then facing the prospect of coming out of the international break without a manager in place. So basically unless Pearson is sacked within the next 48 hours I think he'll be here to the end of the season at least. The way things have collapsed though I'd be amazed if we stick with him if we miss out on promotion. I would stick with him personally as I think he's created a really solid fountain based on good, young players but I don't think the owners will. They're obviously impatient for Premiership football - as are we all, but no point going up before we're ready. From what I've seen of this league there are few, if any, sides that are.
Joking apart, I think you should find a way of binning Nigel, while keeping hold of Walshy. Walsh is a brilliant scout, Pearson is a mediocre manager. Walsh finds great players, but once signed, Pearson doesn't know what to do with them. He's good in League One, mediocre in the Championship and hasn't a prayer in the Premier League. If Leicester want Premier League football, then they'll need a new manager.
If Carlsberg did message board football posts about disloyal failing football managers..........................
