Redknapp's only been in the job officially just over 24 hours and already several of our players are being linked with moves away to QPR, they being Jermain Defoe, Emmanuel Adebayor, Scott Parker and Michael Dawson. It's so obvious these so-called 'journalists' just pluck these stories out of thin air as there's no credibility in many of these rumours. Aside from Dawson, no-one on their right mind would part with Scotty who we can see we desperately need back to solidify our soft midfield. Defoe is a favourite with AVB so the only reason I can see him sold is if the offer is way over his value and Levy brokers the deal without our gaffers approval. Ade has only just joined us after a long and protracted transfer deal over the summer. Why move again? The papers just print garbage and all it achieves is yet more instability for our team. It infuriates me that still today, even after several months of him departing, Redknapp is at the centre of attention whilst affecting our club. End of rant! Only to be expected, I'm afraid. The tabloid press, with only a few weeks to go before the transfer window opens, will have connected countless hundreds of players with either joining or leaving the club. You'll give yourself an ulcer if you let it get to you. Accept that 99% of it is just the usual red top garbage, and you won't go far wrong.
Dawson to QPR in January could easily happen, the others won't unless a major fallout happens at WHL.
Defoe will only go if Levy is now prepared to spend the £30m that it is going to take to get in one of the decent strikers that he's been chasing for three seasons.
"US Planned to Blow Up the Moon to Win the Cold War" Actual Fail story title ('cept I changed the wording a bit since I can't be bothered to find it again.) If they don't mind writing this, they certainly won't mind writing about how 'Arry will end up with half our team. Maybe he'll take them to QPR's new stadium on the moon.
Naturally this will happen. How many Pompey players did you pinch? Defoe, Niko Crankhoweveryouspellhisname, Crouch? Might of been a few others but its to be expected. You have to ask why the hell they would want to move there from Spurs though.
Technically, Pompey nicked Kaboul and Defoe (as well as Pedro Mendes and No Pamarot) from us, as they didn't pay for them...
Harry will raid us for at least one player imo, who, no idea. I don't see him keeping Taarabt and that headless chicken Jibberish Cisse, what the hell did Hughes buy him for, he's scored a couple of individual goals I know, but his teamplay????
If we sign a new midfielder in Jan, I can see him going after Livermore, at least on loan. Harry got good performances out of him and QPR need a player with a bit of bite who'll get stuck in and help to grind out results.
